This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
